Happy Birthday, Bug!

Well, my love bug, you are finally three.  You have been anxiously awaiting the day you could say you are 3, telling anyone who asked that you were 2 but almost 3.  I hope to write you a longer post in the coming weeks about how you have been amazing this winter and spring, through daddy's cancer and much more.  In the meantime, I hope you have a fantastic birthday and your next year is filled with love!

You are my favorite now and always.

Love,
Mama

Birthday Party - turning 3!

What, no TV?

On Sunday I told Savannah that it was the last night Naomi could watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse because Naomi was going home.  Savannah asks in all seriousness, "Doesn't she have a TV at home?" (In the townhouse complex in TX they don't get On Demand.  Savannah can't comprehend the conditions some must live in.)

Early Birthday Presents

Savannah unwrapped a few birthday gifts a bit early, here was a few of her reactions:

Aunt Chrissy's gift:

After ripping off the paper she exclaimed, "It's a box!"

Chrissy helped her open the box to show the gift wasn't only a box, it was a play coffee maker for her play kitchen:

S:  What is it?
C:  It is a coffee maker.
S: But I don't drink coffee.

After unwrapping G'ma and G'dad Fischer's gift:

Someone said there is more in the bag.  Savannah digs around, pulls something out then proclaims, "It's safety scissors!" As she is whipping around standard sharp scissors that G'ma forgot she put in the bag to use to wrap one of Savannah's gifts.

Out of the mouth of babes

In the church bathroom on Sunday Savannah was sitting on the toliet trying to pee while I was squatting in front of her helping her stay on the seat.  From her vantage point she could see down my dress and my cleavage.  She stated in a matter-of-fact voice, "That's what my butt looks like."

I'm not a girl, I'm a lady

(There has been a break from blogging since Savannah got the flu in January, then Jon got sick.  I am going to try to regularly put pictures up here.)
